Mike D'Antoni supported Chris Duhon's charge that the Knicks have a habit of acting in an unprofessional manner, but the coach also added, "I don't think it's a big problem. "Maybe it reared its head (on Friday). I don't know that," D'Antoni said. Duhon didn't mince words when he ripped his teammates for their behavior before Friday's double-overtime loss to the Charlotte Bobcats. Duhon accused his fellow players of not taking their jobs seriously, a charge that reflects poorly on the team and D'Antoni.

"Unprofessional Knicks". Never have 2 words so belonged in the same sentence together. What's more alarming is this line:

"I don't think it's a big problem. "Maybe it reared its head (on Friday). I don't know that,"

When is being unprofessional not a big problem? Talk about the inmates running the asylum.

Wow! If you say things like that on most teams, you'd get traded immediately ... wait a second ... smart move, Duhon!!!

November 1, 2009  09:04 AM ET

Good for Duhon to step up and call his guys out
even if the team is terrible- you're still PROFESSIONALS
getting paid good coin to work.

-its just too bad chris is possibly the worst starting pg in the
entire league and has no real stroke......

For a Knicks fan, you are remarkable objective and rancor-free.

OK, so what else is new? Has anyone ever accused the Bricks of being professional.

Wait! I never write on the weekends but you have got to give thr Knicks credit for there play last night! F the win! Philly could not miss and the Knicks play no defense. We all know that! Knicks needed to play well just to be in the game, and having a chance to win! WOW

Give Galo great credit for a good shooting game. The word is out and his assignment is attacking his, so his lack of defense is hurting, be again he has a good game@!

The Knicks are accused of not playing defense, so Galo's lack of defense is hurting?

November 1, 2009  10:32 AM ET

Harrington was playing both ends of the floor last night! Harrington gave it all to try and get a win playing against a better team.

Again the Knicks are not that good, but they gave it all last Night!!!!

Sad to have shooting like that and still lose, but if you can't stop anyone like Frasier said, you will not win more then you lose!

November 1, 2009  10:36 AM ET

Duhon starting to sound like Marbury....the season just started and already the Knicks in disarray
and playing way below even last years low. I guess this shouldn't be a real revelation.

No question about that! My real point here is the Knicks worked hard to win the home opener, but fell short. Philly is a better team! The fact the Knicks were in the game was very good!

That said the Knicks will get there spirit broken in a few weeks and win 28 games, I have reduced the number of wins by 2!

Yes! Galo can give you 16, but give-up 30! That is what will make him a 6th man! He can do nothing else!

Right! The Knicks will have a worse record then last year!

Professionals. lol. Aren't they on the wrong league? Somebody on the Knicks team finally found out that they are unprofessional. And this is the team that Lebron is suppose to go to? The unprofessional Knicks. This is sad especially if it's coming from a Knick player. The dumb coach should have fixed this unprofessionalism ever since he started coaching the Knicks. The dumb coach benched his best player in Harrington. D'Umbtoni is an overrated coach.

November 1, 2009  11:06 AM ET

Chris you could have played any where, you choice was to play for the Knicks I sure you had an idea what that would mean. After all what other team was willing to pay that kind of money? no one.

There have been a lot of great offensive players in the league who were piss poor defensively. The problem is that the Knicks don't have the interior defense and or shot blocker to compensate for this. I did not see the whole game last night, but you mentioned that Harrington played both ends. That is a silver lining because Harrington does not usually see the defensive end as part of his job spec.

like Frasier said,

...he also said they don't need 'moral victories'
they need VICTORIES....lol

I've said many times- if Harrington plays hard & smart-
is is one of teh most talented offensive players in the game
-problem is he's just a tall Nate Robinson most nights

Galo shot real well- he's still a kid- once he realizes he cannot
stay with anyone- he'll hopefully adjust to at least not let guys
COMPLETELY blow by him every time....but you're right-

yup-
and there is nothing on the horizon - even with our magical
star FA pick-up this off-season that will help this

November 1, 2009  11:40 AM ET

It's a good wakeup call. It showed im how the team fought came back to tie the game lastnight.

Not his fault, Duhon is what they thought he was, a backup.
