Former Mayfield attorney wants his money

The former attorney for Jeremy Mayfield said he has yet to be paid for defending the suspended NASCAR driver. Bill Diehl, the most prolific attorney in Charlotte, N.C., represented Mayfield following his May suspension for failing a random drug test. The two split last month when Mayfield hired celebrity attorney Mark Geragos. "I will get paid," said Diehl, who charges $1,000 an hour. "Jeremy has been told he needs to pay us."

If Mayfield can't afford a no-name lawyer like Diehl, how's he paying for the services of Mark Geragos?

Better get cooking, Jeremy. The creditors are looking to get paid.

Should know better defending a Crackhead.

I will get paid," said Diehl, who charges $1,000 an hour. "Jeremy has been told he needs to pay us."
Jeremy was also told, "just say no"

This why many people will not tackle a big corp. nascar has deep pockets. So they asked for a judge to reread a brief which will delay stuff even more. They keep this up till the other party runs into money problems. Mayfield is just one of many who have encounter this type of play. nascar SUCKS. Helton and his bozo buddies should be thrown out along with the France family. This entertainment venue is going down at a quick pace. People are tired of watching races that are boring and more boring. For Dega and Daytona why don't they just make the race as if they had the BIG crash and there are 3 laps left!! That is the way these dudes are driving the race because of Helton and his "day of the race" rule changes. The drivers go in circles for about 150 or so laps and then they start trying to really race. But you have "big brother" watching from his very comfortable chair. Making sure nobody actually is truly racing! I wonder how Petty, Pearson, Cale and Jr and Earnhardt Sr. would like the rules as they are now! If one really likes this racing, then watch espn for the highlights and you will see the actual race. It really comes down to just a couple of laps. I love it when reporters and such say that people really don't come to the races to see these big crashes that they come to watch the tight style racing, etc.. I wonder where they grew up - fantasy land! The crashes at the fast tracks are probably the main reason people do come to the races. And if you watch espn you see the crashes over and over. No need to watch the whole race.

Poor Mayfield, got black balled ever since he PO'd Ray E.

And then he decided to take on MoneyCar. They can't win on evidence, but they sure can win on checkbooks.
