Thomas at odds with Bulls coach

As Bulls practice ended Monday, veteran Lindsey Hunter stepped up and directed some pointed advice toward Tyrus Thomas in front of all his teammates and coaches. It came on the heels of Thomas, according to team sources, taking exception to coach Vinny Del Negro harping on him for failing to rotate defensively. And it followed Thomas again falling out of the fourth-quarter rotation.

He doesn't trust the coach and wants to second-guess him ?

I suppose that makes him a "Doubting Thomas" !

(For those of you who don't know this expression, look it up.)
Hehehe. :)

Sounds like Thomas has commitment issue, he doesnt want to fully commit to his game. I wouldnt expect much from this guy I see signs of becoming lazy. What a waste of talent.

To think they could've had the kid Aldridge in Portland--STUPID!!!

How could they have had Aldridge? Was a trade proposed between the two teams.

Rumor is the Jazz might want him in a package for Boozer.

Once again we are reading about the unhappiness of Tyrus Thomas. What Tyrus really needs to do is to shut his damn mouth. He's playing, right? The Bulls are trying to establish him as an NBA player and all he does is whine and **** at every turn. Sooner or later, if he keeps this up, he's going to find himself on the outside of the League looking in no matter how "athletic" he is.

good point jgb...the bulls have had a shaky draft history to say the least in recent years...look at the picks from Ron Artest to Elton Brand, Eddy Curry, Kirk Hinrich..all top ten picks and NONE are currently starting for them

November 3, 2009  10:02 AM ET

man i think this will get ugly, i forgot which announcer it was but they had pointed out that Thomas is looking over his shoulder ever since they drafted that other guy from SC. and if Thomas keeps gettin less minutes because of that rookie they picked up he's gonna want out.

November 3, 2009  10:08 AM ET

He's a free agent at the end of the year, I suggest he shut up and play or struggle to get payed in the offseason....

November 3, 2009  10:20 AM ET

Ahh...the ongoing chronicles of Tyrus Thomas...Boy wonder without a clue...When he going to stop thinking he's a superstar and start learning the game?

Hey Tyrus, I hear they have some open slots at Big Man camp....Suggest you take core classes Fundamentals 101 & Shut your piehole 202....

Look at you history knucklehead, the Bulls originally drafted Aldridge with the wecond pick in the dreaft and then traded his rights to Portland for Tyrus Thomas and some other Bozo who is no longer with the Bulls. So, in fact, they did have him and they let get away.

You would think that would be incentive enough

Bro, Vinnie is not a top tier coach.

interesting- cause he really would be the same player as Milsap
downt he line-not sure how that'd work long term

Thomas is the epitome of the ultra-athletic player who never learned how to play or develop skills because he always dominated on pure athleticism....until he reached the nba that is
