Police are investigating a fight between a former Oakland Raiders tight end and Alameda County Supervisor Scott Haggerty that took place after a youth football practice. Haggerty is talking about the incident. He said the altercation happened about four weeks ago and ended with him in a neck brace for two weeks, and it involved ex-Raiders tight end Jeremy Brigham.

What? A gigantic person associated with the Oakland Raiders causing a neck injury to some ordinary sized guy? Why, I've never heard of such a thing. A broken jaw, maybe, but not a neck injury.

On the other hand, we're talking about a politician here. Right away, I wonder if he got that neck brace from a doctor or from a lawyer.

Just when you didn't think news surrounding the Raiders organization could fall any lower....

November 3, 2009  09:09 AM ET

pee-wee? always hated that name. couldn't they just call them pis#-ants? what do you say to another parent at a game when you cannot remember their little brats name? " how is your pee-wee doing?"....see what i mean, it is just asking for a fight.

With the financial dificulties facing the newspaper industry, its nice to see the Oakland Tribune can save money by using a "Police are investigating a fight between the Oakland Raiders' *(fill in the blank)* and *(fill in the blank)*" and "Jamarcus Russell throws *(fill in the blank)* interceptions in latest loss" templates instead of paying someone to write new headlines each week.

Look just because you and the Raiders were beaten by a Pee-Wee Football team does not give you the right to start attacking their parents, because you were too afraid to fight the Pee-Wee Football team that gave you a whoop-ass.

If Jamarcus Russell was not your QB you would have had a shot. (humor)

*sighs* In reality is it just Coach Cable that has anger issues or the whole team and even ex-players. This did not surprise me.

so what, the guy beat up a public official. Who has not wanted to do that a time or two.

It's a fight between two men why is it in the press?? What ever happened to take your licking and keep on ticking. Just shut up and move on.

November 3, 2009  11:24 AM ET

God I hate candy asses sissies like Haggarty that cry out to the press instead of being a man and facing the dude himself and moving on. Too many wimps in this country.

November 3, 2009  11:40 AM ET

man, Raiders personnel seem like classy-law abiding citizens......NOT!

November 3, 2009  12:10 PM ET

Saw that the Raiders complained about ESPN always reporting bad news about them before the game last night.

So... any good news to report, Al?

November 3, 2009  12:50 PM ET

Doesn't make sense. Tom Cable wasn't the coach yet.

November 3, 2009  12:55 PM ET

hey al, give us some good news like the Raiders finally score a TD or the Raiders intercept a pass or something..........
