The woman who has filed a civil lawsuit against Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger claiming he sexually assaulted her last summer has quit working for the Nevada hotel where she said the incident occurred. Calvin R.X. Dunlap, the Reno-based attorney for the woman, last night confirmed that his client quit late last week because of "the way she was being treated" by managers at Harrah's Lake Tahoe, where she was a casino host. She was not forced to quit, he said.

You mean to tell me the girl worked in a damn hotel?

Was it Holiday Inn Express?

November 5, 2009  07:27 AM ET

Harrah's isn't the best casino in the world, but it ain't the Holiday Inn either. I'm surprised to see she stayed there this long given all that's gone on.

Calvin "R.X." Dunlap- do they call him "The Doctor"?

November 5, 2009  07:42 AM ET

She must be anticipating a big check...

Best advice to the woman ...." Don't quit your lay job."

Love it! Fortunately for her, she's comfortable working out of hotels.

I was thinking maybe she thought Kobe might show up...

November 5, 2009  08:05 AM ET

Is she going to go after the hotel saying that they harrassed her?

November 5, 2009  08:12 AM ET

All i can say, Ben must have had too much liquor or he was lonely to allow himself into the situation. Ben, play the game not the skirt

November 5, 2009  08:25 AM ET

wow, aren't you guys too harsh on her? i mean c'mon, you don't even know what really happened and you are making this a laughing matter? you probably would treat this differently if you know someone who has been victimized with such crime.

I agree a lot of people jump to a conclussion before a trial and while I know a little about the situation the people involved know a lot more.

November 5, 2009  08:44 AM ET

She's probably already firing up her next lawsuit

Now that would be scary.
About the way we treat this story, how long did she wait before she filed a civil suit?. She did not go to the police to accuse him of rape..

November 5, 2009  08:47 AM ET

She can go to Colorado and hang out with the hotel employee that accused Kobe Bryant of the same thing.... maybe learn what NOT to do

The info that has come out so far makes her look like a gold digger. She didn't file criminal charges, but instead waited many months and then went straight for Big Ben's wallet. That kind of behavior, coupled with her own e-mails about the "relationship," makes this whole thing smell very fishy.

If she spends a night with an NFL player, that's one thing. But if she expects to be paid for it, well, that tells you exactly what she is.

No, I'm not being too harsh at all. If there was ANY veracity to her ridiculous rape charges, the police would have filed charges by now. They have had months to investigate her claims, and have found nothing. Her own coworkers have come out repeatedly and talked about how she bragged about her encounter. How many people do you know that brag about being raped and then file a lawsuit a year later?

This woman is a money-seeking, worthless golddigger that is costing the taxpayers thousands of dollars with her desperate plea for attention. I wish there was a way to send people to prison for clogging the system with this garbage.

I think I'll reserve my judgement untill the FACTS are brought forward.

good riddance
