Rangers scouting Forsberg
The Rangers are among the handful of NHL teams watching Peter Forsberg very closely when the 36-year-old free-agent center tests his chronically injured right foot in the Karjala Cup tournament that opens today in Sweden and will conclude over the weekend in Finland, The Post has learned.

He's just a gearhound who think's he knows anything about hockey. It is in every paper every sports station the Redden is finaly playing better but this so called hockey mind should know that right?

I find it interesting that in the prime of Forsberg's career(w/Av's) he used to talk about leaving the NHL early and going back to Sweden to play cause the League here was to physical and his body couldn't handle the punishment and now that he's in Sweden it seems he can't let the NHL go and desires to come back.

I must begin by pointing out that unlike Brett. Peter has never actually come out and said he is retired. He has always maintained the party line that if he can get his foot back to good health he wants to be in the NHL. That part being said, I agree that the Rangers are not likely. I think he lands in Philly or Colorado
