MLB unlikely to punish Lincecum for pot

Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum was cited for possession of marijuana one week ago in the state of Washington. Though he faces misdemeanor charges in the state, it is unlikely he will receive any punishment from Major League Baseball. Although Major League Baseball has a well-publicized policy for punishing users of performance-enhancing drugs, there are no provisions in the collective bargaining agreement for punishing players who are convicted of using drugs of abuse.

It's only dope man. Not much of a performance enhancing there.

I liked lincecum before this news, now i like him more.

I work with a girl who looks just like him. I kid you not.

Like they didn't know he was a bake already. He's great for baseball, they should give him a 10,000 square foot hydro facility and pat him on the back.

How can you look at this guy and not know he's a stoner? I'm not a pot advocate, but I think it's a lot lesss harmful than alcohol, but he still needs to be punished because it's illegal. Way to go MLB, set the example. Smoke pot all you want in the MLB because even if you get caught, nobody cares!

It was such a little amount. He should be suspended but not for an ordinate amount of time.

As long as it wasn't a performance enhancing drug, and it happened in the offseason and harmed absolutely no one, MLB should leave him the hell alone. It's an effin' misdemeanor.

By the way, those new dugout toilets the Giants installed are pretty efficient, if not for the lack of privacy.

which is unfortunate for that girl, as i wouldn't call lincecum an attractive man.

correction, Marijuana is a depressant much like that of alcohol. Depending on the dosage he intakes and the strain of the pot it is an enhancer. Where some guys would be rattled that they have 2 men on base Lincecum is cool as a cucumber. If the average joe like you or me tested positive for drugs, we lose our job.

Correction. 2 guys on base might just make Lincecum more paranoid and actually detract from his game. Maybe he should switch to LSD, then he could throw a no-hitter like Doc Ellis

Duuuude. Pots illegal?

use the quote button next time. Pot does not make you paranoid especially if you are a long time user.
