McNair's son commits to Southern Miss

Oak Grove senior standout Steve McNair Jr., announced Wednesday that he has committed to play football for Southern Miss, and will sign a national letter-of-intent with the Golden Eagles on the official Signing Day in February.

Southern Miss, for a regional school (and member of CUSA) has produced NFL talent. A guy named Brett Farve comes to mind, but I'm sure there have been others since.

If you're truely interested, the SouthernMiss wikipedia page has a very, very long list of NFL Southern Miss Alumns. Plenty of pro-bowlers, both current and former. The kid has a bright future. Good luck and God Speed to him.

Well, the old man played at Alcorn State, the son is playing at Southern Miss...maybe by the time we get to Steve McNair IV, he'll be starting for the Gators.
