Thursday on NFL Network, Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter shot off about the Patriots in general, and their quarterback, Tom Brady, in particular. Porter said he felt Brady "gets his own rules", and cited examples of Brady calling for flags and getting calls. Well, who better to ask about this subject than Brady himself? "No, I don't think so, " Brady told the Globe. "You may get more calls. I don't know. I think the ref calls what he sees. I don't think I've ever influenced a call. The refs we have are very good. If they make a call on that, great. If they don't, that's fine."

Some well spoken PC B.S. He'll do well in Congress..... Good Morning Gentleman.

And after his statement, he went and banged six supermodels on a giant pile of cash.

Yet another declaration for his ability to fit into the Senate, or Congress. Good Call.

Top o' the morning to you, gdubya.

Of course he doesn't think he gets his own rules. Just like his coach didn't think videotaping the Jets' signals counted as cheating.

Good Morning Sir, He must not watch much replay of the games if he doesn't think he whines.

He does. He just fastforwards most of it.

November 7, 2009  09:01 AM ET

I'm pretty sure he whines around the house too.

November 7, 2009  09:02 AM ET

IMO, he'll sign to 100 million plus contract, play another year or so, then run for congress.

November 7, 2009  09:04 AM ET

The big contract may influence Giselles child support( not to mention Bridgett needs an upgrade), and whether she sticks with him.

No Sir, only in thieves, and liars.

Watch the video:
1. Brady takes a shiner to the knee
2. Brady turns to the Ref and asks for the call
3. The Ref nods in agreement and throws a flag

The Ref did not begin reaching for the flag until after Brady asked for the call.

exactly Sir, a prime example.

Players try to work the refs all the time. Especially D Linemen working a holding penalty. Usually to get the next call. The only difference with a QB is that you are more likely to see it. All part of the game. All QBs do the same every game.

November 7, 2009  09:36 AM ET

The Pats cheat, the NFL helps or turns a blind eye and we're not to notice. Cheaters never win.

Agreed, this is a non-event. I saw the play noted by (un)Official and IMHO the ref is already nodding, but trying to keep his balance while backpedaling AND reaching for the flag before Brady says a thing. I think the Ref had trouble getting the flag out as he was backpedaling....
