08:45 AM ET 11.07 | The Nets' start to the season has been a tragedy wrapped up in a catastrophe surrounded by a disaster. Defeats and injuries have ruled the way. But don't blame the coach, team president Rod Thorn said, because he certainly doesn't. Thorn said he knows the stacked deck that coach Lawrence Frank has faced.

So how come the Nets don't get bashed for tanking/purging
their roster for a 2010 FA, but the knicks do ?
- Yeah- I know Harris and Lopez are 2 good pieces......
but I mean come on

Different expectations, even with the money the Nets have who wants to play there?

This is such a JOKE...

... Lawrence Frank should NEVER had been coach.

He's only there because Jason Kidd and the good team they had sabatoged Byron Scott. The Nets have gotten progressively worse since Scott was fired and Frank has not shown ANY ability to coach in the NBA or get his team to execute.

Frank had no resume sufficient to get the job in the first place.

The Nets should have dismissed this guy 3 years ago.

As for playing in Jersey... are people forgetting the Eastern Conference Finals teams?

Injuries are part of the game. Douglas-Roberts, Harris, and Jianlian are all out right now, but Frank hasn't produced anything when he had the tools. The time for excuses is running out.

I wouldn't define the Knicks as tanking because they gave their 2010 pick to Utah and are trying to win games this year. Trying and succeeding are two different things. Purging without a doubt.

The nets have nobody!
Sure Devin Harris is playing like an allstar but he is not a superstar.
Maybe soon but not yet.

Harris and Lopez are pretty good building blocks.

Yea im sure somebody's mother's child cant wait to see them.
Yea right!

What about the Wizards? Will they EVER catch a break (now Jamison, Miller out)?

Kenyon Martin, and Tony Parker got injured last night alone. Josh Howard, Pau, Bynum, and the regulars from Houston, just to mention a few top players from top teams in the West.

Looking around the league, man, though this season is still young, there are already too may injuries to too many teams, if you ask me.

That's the name of the game-LUCK
I mean that's why the cavs won so many games, why the celts &
Spurs didn't make it farther- why the rockets are the rockets....
happens every year

Lawrence Frank has the best job in the world, don't do **** and rake in the moolah

November 7, 2009  05:26 PM ET

If they add LBJ to the core of Harris and Lopez, Frank will win coach of the year.

November 7, 2009  06:00 PM ET

Lawrence Frank as a head coach.......MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! This 0-fer start is what you get when you hire the towel boy to run your team!

November 7, 2009  06:46 PM ET

No more nets more like NJ sweaty breathe!
LMAO!

November 7, 2009  09:07 PM ET

I will trade a horrible injury filled year for developing the young players for 2010 when loads of cap room that can also be used to take back salary and 2 number one picks can change things in a hurry.

I wouldn't exactly say raking in the moolah. He's one of the lowest paid coaches in the league. Some assistant coaches probably make more than him.

Because the Nets will forever be in the Knicks shadow. You know how NY sports goes. The papers would rather talk about the Knicks losing than the Nets winning. Same goes for putting the Rangers ahead of the Islanders and Devils, the Yankees in front of the Mets, and the Giants ahead of the Jets. There is a hierarchy that has been maintained for years.

You speak as if the Heat isn't a sad team. The bottom line is, unless your team wins the title, or at least makes it to play for it, you're just as much a non issue as the team at the bottom of the heap. There are no awards given out for making it to the 8th playoff spot in your conference.

Congratulations on your fairly recent title. Cherish it. Because Miami won't be getting another one for a very long time, if ever.

It is true that there is not much talent there, but Frank has been there for a long time and the situation has gotten considerably worse, so why not make a switch? A new voice in the locker room might help.
