Williams is Tiger's caddie, bodyguard
Because of the intense attention on Tiger Woods, the playing field is lop-sided and Steve Williams sees it as his job to level it up. "When you're in a job like mine you've got to control the situation and you can't be shy about it,'' Williams said. "You have to take things into your own hands." "Take a walk in my shoes and see what we've got to put up with and try to deal with. When you're caddying for Tiger, you have to deal with increased media attention, increased television attention - there's a lot of people that want a piece of him." "What I try to do with Tiger, I try to give him the same playing field as everyone else in the tournament and I'm not shy on doing that.'' So, you are part bodyguard, part caddie? "Exactly,'' Williams said. "That's probably it.''

And stop whining about all the media attention and the demands on his time. Tiger has agents for that, you toadsucker.

Poof-Tah. Really gotta wonder if it's Reemington, or a Schlick that he uses on them lovely gams - nice anklets too, Stevie. I actually had the great displeasure of meeting this 'bloker' once - had to straighten 'im out for passing my wife his business card, and trying to impress her with his big pickup line at the time - "I used to caddy for Greg Norman, y'know". Found out later, he only chats up the ladies to dispell the locker-room rumour-mill.
Rory's obviously worked on his putting stroke, almost good enough to win today - it was. Llook out world.! Especially you Tigurr Woos - or, is it pouty ( colloquialism for feline). Really boyo, taking the Lord's name in vain, on world-wide tv, just 'cause some less-than-knowledgeable Chinese guy clicked his camera shutter on your almighty back-swing - shoulda just got Stevie t' give him on of his special, frosty glares.

What a tournament! And I decided not to bother popping over to Shanghai for it. I'll learn someday. Mick the dick winning big, and, the big lazy screwin' up the last hole to lose it. Even the Shrewsbury dough-boy put on a huge show, and then... there was The Woos, and Wonder Stevie. Not to mention teen Rory, and Ryan Moore, and Wot Nick-me tearing the place t'bits. Finally, a world golf championship, that lived up to its Billings. No, not Montana... Hannah.

So Steve, are you going to go "gangsta" on anyone who dares takes a picture during a tournament or is that still Tiger's domain to act like a total juvenile?

Given Tiger's slamming of the club when someone did take a picture yesterday, it is still Tiger's domain to act like a total juvenile. That act is getting really old. It isn't bad enough that golf has a system where someone can be #1 even though they cherry-pick the courses they play and play about 1 time a month when the "payout" is worthy of Tiger's appearance, now if someone dares make a sound with Tiger hitting a shot, Tiger acts like a child and has a caddy that acts like a "bodyguard".

Hey, it was the increased fan attention that got the boulder moved for Tiger @ the Phoenix Open several years back. If it was Joe Schmoe's ball stuck behind the boulder, it would have stayed put. There'd be no one there to move it.

I don't like BBC announcers but have to say they hit it right on the head. Say what you want about him Phil engages the fans like Arnold used to do. Hey we are the ones paying him though endorsements the least they could do is acknowledge that the fans exist. The childishness of woods is getting old and his caddie is a classless jerk.

I hear that. Stevie is starting to think he's a star when he's actually just a moon, reflecting the light of the real star. If Tiger really fears for his physical safety, he should get a real body guard. Frankly, if I had to fight one of them I'd rather take on Stevie than Tiger. However, Tiger would be easier to distract.

Good to see some of the Boys on the Golf Beat...I happen to live near the NFL Corner masquerading as a Golfer...unfortunately in Windermere he isn't the richest guy in town...not even close...
Old Stevie still needs the Visitor's pass to get into Isleworth...He's hired Help despite the Money...Tiger has really lost touch with the masses he was supposed to inspire...and unfortunately Guys like Williams...a F*k*ng CADDIE....is making himself out to be more than that when in fact he is a Beast of Burden that reads putts....and not well in Majors...
