Mulder likely to sign with Brewers

It will be an upset if Mark Mulder doesn't sign with the Brewers. His rehab coach was Rick Peterson, the new Milwaukee pitching coach. Mulder, 32, was beset with shoulder problems the past two years but now appears to be fine and would likely agree to an incentive-laden deal. In the estimation of one scout, the Brewers need four pitchers.

So thats whose DL he will be appearing on this year. I guess that's one less thing to worry about.

Would somebody please do something about that World Vision ad? That emaciated kid is putting right off of my third McSkillet burrito.

I always see those and wonder about the camera crew. You know they could help the kid out with a sandwich.

doesn't he just live on the DL last time he was good is when he was on the A's

It'd be a nice risk/reward for MIL.

More risk than reward, probably

It says the Brewers need 4 pitchers. If they sign him they will need 4 pitchers.

After reading the word "Mulder," for some reason, I began reading the paragraph in a slow boring monotonous tone.

The Brewers need all the help they can get! Pitching wise anyways

Moves like this can make a season, or they can add up to a whole lot of nothing. Look at what Smoltz contributed to the Red Sox. But, if you can sign a guy like this for a few million bucks, you better do it, because in the big picture, pitching is hard to find.

Hey if Rick Peterson says he can rehab him, what can go wrong? Just look how well he did with Victor Zambrano.....

I thought "Mulder" was part of the X-File series ???

How? If he's getting an incentive laden contract with base probably not much more than the minimum, what's the risk? If he succeeds, awesome for them. If not, DFA and you're out maybe a couple mill. That's about as close to no-risk as you can get. If he can even get back to half of what he was in his peak that'd be a pretty good return.
