07:12 AM ET 11.14 | Though Jamal Lewis backtracked Friday on his criticism of Cleveland coach Eric Mangini, teammates demonstrated support for the running back. Several of the Browns gathered near the running back's locker and began a chant, hollering, "J-Lew, J-Lew, J-Lew." Mangini, meanwhile, defended the length and intensity of his practices after Lewis had complained Thursday that Cleveland's players are being worked too hard.

Browns ownership is no longer considering trading players; they are, however, taking offers for Mangini.

I remember a situation a few years ago with the New York Giants when players were complaining about the same thing. They went on to win a Super Bowl a couple of years later. Maybe the current Browns don't understand the amount of work it takes to win.

If you beat your players up too much during the week, they won't have the strength to go out and win on Sunday.

So, who will have the first pick in the draft: Cleveland, Detroit, Saint Louis, Carolina (which I think has been traded to San Francisco), or Oakland? Cleveland really has their game face on for this competition.

Cleveland. The Raiders just suck, the Browns have given up playing that toadsucker.

How can Mangini stand by anything when he is doing worse than the 1999 Browns? He should **** and listen to what Jamal Lewis of all people is saying.

November 14, 2009  09:07 AM ET

Anybody else think that Mangini will be shown the door after this year? Let me rephrase, will Mangini be picked up and hurled out the door at the end of this season?

Someone should send him a link to a webpage that explains how to wash away boot prints from the bottom of pants.

Mangini likes length and intensity I guess.

He sucks. Cleveland is gonna have a laundry list of fired coaches that they're still paying after this year.

Those staph infections do wear you out.

You work real hard in the offseason, not during the week Mangidiot. You can't win if your players have nothing left in the tank.

Is that the sounds of silence I hear from those interested in latting Mangini land on their team next??
