Longtime friends commit to Florida
Savannah Jenkins defensive end Chaz Sutton preferred to delay a public announcement. But when rumors began circulating on Wednesday that the 6-foot-4, 242-pound lineman and teammate Franklin Green, a running back, were both committing to Florida, Sutton decided it was time to do the Gator chomp. "Word wasn't supposed to get out," Sutton said. "It was going to be a silent commitment. "But it's cool. I'm really very excited about it." Sutton, who was also considering offers from Virginia Tech, South Carolina, Rutgers and West Virginia, had hoped to tour several of those campuses this summer. His plans were derailed on Monday.

The fascinating thing about American football is the obsessional behavior it engenders in American men.
Do you wish you are a football player?

You askin me?
I don't wish I was a football player, but it would be nice to play a game , and be good at that game, for a living. It could be any game because I like so many, but football is among them.
Obsessional behavior reminds me of superstitions. There's always been superstitions w/ sports. I guess something as unpredictable as athletics has to be attributed to something besides an athlete's own performance or ability. Superstitions give them a way to blame/praise something besides themselves.

"But it's cool. I'm really very excited about it."
You won't be excited when Cryer stops calling, and his henchmen tell you start looking elsewhere.

Oh jaggedice, he's not hating on UF, he's hating on Meyer (who is notorious for being a dirty recruiter).
I'm not jealous that your university professors/doctors put some extras in the gatorade, like bull balls maybe. (I'm completely kidding)

Yeah, soccer fans couldn't ever be accused of obsessional behavior...good one Blue 2. College (and pro football) fans always pelt referees and opposing fans with molotov cocktails, rocks, and other nondescript flaming objects. I mean, that is the way you're supposed to act at a sporting event right? If someone doesn't go to the ICU or the funeral parlor, then what's the point of going to the game. I've got an idea- how about you don't speak another word about sports and crawl back into mommy's basement and continue that Magic the Gathering tournament with your imaginary friends, mmmkay?

Well King did a better job than what I had in mind.
The Magic the Gathering reference was a particularly nice touch.
