Favre returning to Vikings next season?

07:06 AM ET 11.18 | There could be other factors that determine whether Brett Favre, who already is signed for $13 million for the 2010 season, returns for another season. Those could include what players return to give him a chance to win a Super Bowl, who the coach and staff are, and the team's ownership status in its quest for a new stadium. It would seem satisfying enough for Favre if he gets the Vikings to a Super Bowl that there would be no point in returning. On the other hand, a rumor has surfaced that Favre recently purchased land in Preston, Minn., near Rochester, for deer hunting. That might be an indicator he intends to stay awhile.

I missed all those Favre threads during the offseason(yea right)

You could at least wait till he announces his retirement again to start with this nonsense. I mean, do you really intend to make this a year-round story? No-one wants to go there again. Ever!

November 18, 2009  07:16 AM ET

I would say yes.

November 18, 2009  07:26 AM ET

NO really guys I know you are frigging lazy but starting this crap already instead of finding something to write about is BS

November 18, 2009  07:28 AM ET

The really question, "did his wife buy anything at Bed Bath and Beyond recently?"

This is the equivalent of shopping for Christmas decorations on July 4th... Or Easter... or MLK Day...

Let me get this straight:
He's under contract to play for the Vikings in 2010 for $13 million, a contract he signed less than 4 months ago, and the big story here are rumours and speculation that he MAY actually honor the contract, but only if he approves of the roster, coaching staff, coaching staff, and stadium situation?
That is truly, truly awesome.

Maybe I should call King Favre and advise him that I have reported to work diligently so that I can read more press on him and I am starting my work day

Favre wouldn't be in the spotlight quite that much if he did things that way. He'll string everyone along again while agonizing over this difficult decision, have a stack of waffles and syrup (or three) and then report back to us on the eve of training camp.

May not get you a raise, CEF, but it certainly doesn't hurt in the brown'nosing department!

Morning, buddy...

It's a little early in the NFL year for this garbage.

Naw, a phone call would be way too mundane - You should announce your decision to show up for work during a dramatic teary-eyed press conference, after weeks of slipping retirement rumours to your enablers in the media

Good morning sir. Hope that trip to Philly for the wife went well. Obviously you survived. Haha.

I'm not expecting any kind of raise from his highness. I figure I should prostrate myself apprpriately before his royal highness and his court. Hey ... is that Peter King as his advisor sitting near him? Hahaha.
