06:45 AM ET 11.20 | West Iredell High defensive back P.J. Clyburn is planning an official visit South Carolina for the Clemson game Nov. 28. That will be the first of four official visits he's arranging -- the others will be to East Carolina, North Carolina and Illinois. Clyburn, who will likely be a safety in college given his 6-foot-2, 205-pound size, hasn't been offered by the Gamecocks but that could be coming soon. He has good speed for his size and also played WR this season.

Steve Spurrier has been recruiting since he arrived at Carolina and he needs to continue to recruit as he is probably 2 players shy of having an excellent team.
Great coach.

I agree, but one of those two players needs to be a Wuerfell clone.

Spurrier needs a QB with an above average arm that is smart enough to understand his system AND patient enough to endure his tantrums. Basically, someone that can be Steve's body - allowing the Ol' Ball Coach to practically be under center.

I'd love to see him get that guy before he hangs it up. Make a run at an SEC East title. Cox fans deserve it.

Drop the "Great coach" close, and you'd have a fine first post. It's OK to admire The Old Visor Tosser. but such bias colors your fine assessment as "homerific." Other posters forget everything preceding those fateful final two words and cast you as an Orr-shiper.

Likely, I'm going to get a little grief for responding to a rank newbie, but I'm optimistic and congenial. here's hoping you reveal yourself to be a welcome addition to the CFB threads.

If I had to recruit for South Carolina, I would use one statistic to trump any other college. That is simply that Women outnumber men at South Carolina. Add in the fact that 93% of those women are drop dead gorgeous, and you have yourself a hard offer to turn down... pun not intended, but fitting.

Spurrier should recruit some of that talent to help him recruit football talent.

I also feel that this picture explains the ol' Ballcoach's face.

::shaking head, rolling eyes::

TM! Responding to a newbie?!?!? WTH??

November 20, 2009  01:53 PM ET

It is a sad day indeed when the three new CFB threads are so lame that they cannot elicit even a skimpily clad chic pic post from JRM....

A day without JRM is like a day without swearing and cussin'.

I take back all the bad things I've ever said about South Carolina if that's the kind of women they're producing down there.

And one more pick of LMH to silence all critics... South Carolina should be ranked #1 in recruiting now...
