09:50 AM ET 11.20 | While the focus at Vancouver Canucks practice Thursday was supposed to be on the impending return of sniper Daniel Sedin, much of the attention instead centred around a shot that had nothing to do with pucks. British Columbia's provincial health officer says members of the National Hockey League team jumped the queue when they received their H1N1 vaccinations earlier this week.

10 am and we finally have news. Well done staffers.

November 20, 2009  10:16 AM ET

Yeah, but can we get some actual hockey news, like how it is that the officials blew the call on the Wings goal the other night. The officials need to explain that one.

Anyone have shares in GSK, cuz right now they are making a fortune off this overblown media madness...

November 20, 2009  10:37 AM ET

Have all the Canadian teams been accused of this by now? Not sure I've heard Montreal thrown in.

November 20, 2009  10:46 AM ET

I say hang the Canucks from the yardarm.

The story also failed to mention that the Sedins were vaccinated with Forsberg and Sundin

This is incredibly pathetic. I hate it how hockey players in canada are treated like gods and everyone else is treated like peeons. This is pathetic. We have people who work in the public all day and they havent gotten there shots where as these ppl have.

There's socialized medicine for you! If you have "connections" you can jump in front of the common people.

"about"universal healthcare

November 20, 2009  01:33 PM ET

What is difficult to understand about this? I want a H1N1 shot - I go to the Doctor. In Canada, you want a H1N1 shot, you wait until it is "your place in line" and they tell you when you can go.

November 20, 2009  01:36 PM ET

Must be a Damn Slow News day...

The Folks in BC should want the Canucks to get te shots first - that way atleast they can watch the Hockey Games while they're laid up...

I've heard that somewhere before in relation to the Flames doing similar.

How about each team gets one octopus to throw as a game call challenge. Bring back a hockey tradition AND allow for the right call to be made.
