Raiders players happy with new QB

07:03 AM ET 11.21 | The Raiders have ditched even-keeled for energy and passion. It won't matter if Bruce Gradkowski can't complete passes with any greater frequency than JaMarcus Russell, but it sounds as if the presence of a new quarterback has picked up the tempo during practice this week. "Bruce gives us the best chance to win right now," tight end Zach Miller said. "We've got to be out there and play better football than we have the last few games here." Coach Tom Cable noted an increase in completions during practice.

Agreed but they gave Russell all that money when they drafted him. If all this guy is is a glorified backup, then maybe they'll think before they give another QB that kind of money, but then again it's the Faders so it's just wishful thinking. As far as a new coach is concerned, I have a feeling that they're stuck with Cable because what respectable (and wise for that matter) coach is going to want to work for that lunatic Davis when all he does is meddle in coaching decisions the team is a greasefire that's out of control.
