09:54 AM ET 11.22 | The Montreal Canadiens could be set to make a move. While GM Bob Gainey plays his cards close to his vest, he was surrounded by most of his scouting staff before the club's Friday night game in Washington and the speculation is there is a move coming. Gainey would like to deal disgruntled forward Sergei Kostitsyn and his brother Andrei and get some scoring help up front in return. As reported last week, the Edmonton Oilers are interested in the brothers.

Who wants them, they are both cancers, and it isn't like they light it up.

What are the Habs going to do with Plekanec, he has 22 points in 23 games, and has been their best centre, but he is a UFA at the end of the year. I think they may have to trade him or let him walk.

So the diving Kostitysun bros dont have skill? HAAAA!! I hate these guys. I especially like it when they get touched a little when they dont have the puck and they fall down like they've been shot. The best part? Them turning to look at the ref WHILE they're falling. PUNKS.

Bye Bye K brothers...not sure why Edmonton or any other team would want anything to do with these guys.

Why would Edmonton want someone else's headaches? Don't they have enough of their own?

One Russian is bad enough .... but two?

I think they would move Robert Nillson for one of the K. boys.

They are two of them??? lol

November 22, 2009  05:34 PM ET

They already tried to leave, but Gainey wouldn't let them.

Oh! They need Gainey's permission to go home now? I guess all the other Russians who left to play in the KHL never heard of that rule.

it`s serge thats the cancer, not andrei. in fact there`s never been any issue with andrei. plus we`re not talking about trading for a to player, just a 2nd liner that can produce. the k borthers have value because they actually have talent, they`re just underachieving babies. Can`t wait to be rid of them.

November 23, 2009  01:04 AM ET

Ain't nobody, gonna offer much that would be truly useful, for either, or both of them. I expect fourth liners, extra d-men, back-up goaltenders and career minor-leaguers are prime candidates - along with the fabled draft picks.

Sergei has some decent hands, but he's got no work ethic. Nobody's gonna want a player like that, unless Atlanta wants yet another Russian to add to the roster. Afinigenov seems to have picked it up playing with Kovalchuk.

Just what Pat Quinn would love to have in Edmonton! Another player with no work ethic!
