D'Antoni still mad at Robinson

06:58 AM ET 11.24 | Though it was discovered Nate Robinson's bizarre 3-point shot that sailed into his own basket Saturday could not have counted because of an obscure NBA rulebook bylaw, Mike D'Antoni still took a shot at his flaky point guard. D'Antoni even alleged Robinson, who is again in his contract year, may have not shot at the right hoop to protect his shooting percentage. D'Antoni chewed out Robinson when he came to the sidelines. The play was shown on all highlight shows, and D'Antoni still seems hot about it.

Hehhehe, crazy Nate!!

November 24, 2009  07:21 AM ET

Nate is a wanna be thug...

... figures he can do what he wants and people should just handle it.

November 24, 2009  07:32 AM ET

man cut it out and focus on the Lakers tonight...

November 24, 2009  07:53 AM ET

The pressure must be getting to D'Antonio. I have never seen he go off for that length of time as he did against Nate. Maybe it was just a Nate being Nate overload.

November 24, 2009  07:54 AM ET

Most NBA players won't toss one up to protect their percentages. Unfortunately, money is tied to statistics, which expains how guys like Marbury can get 21 million a year.

What does D'Antoni expect??? NY put together a bunch of stumblebums and call them a team and expect them to act like they actually have a chance to win something in the NBA when everyone knows they don't.
The players don't act professionally because management didn't put them together professionally!!!

November 24, 2009  08:11 AM ET

Why would some one be mad at Nate, he is a very discipline player that puts his players first and doesnt show boat out on the court.

November 24, 2009  08:18 AM ET

Did Nate take the shot on purpose or was it a mistake? Guys accidentally tip in balls in the wrong basket.......ever so often. What is the big deal?

November 24, 2009  08:38 AM ET

This is already old news - Let's move on.... - Let's see how bad they look against the # 1 team in the league tonight....!!!

November 24, 2009  08:45 AM ET

Nate is a backup player, 7 maybe 8 players down in the rotation! The Knicks are staring 10 plus games below 500 in the face, and Fannation releases a story from Saturday's Game! That is officially WOW!

How about Nate giving the Knicks a chance to win the Boston game! How about one of the major changes from last year is Nate not playing aggressive and attacking the basket! How about after the Allstar break last year when Nate carried the Knicks for 8 Games. Nate will be off the Knicks at the end of the season. It will be good for the Knicks and good for Nate!

The pressure is getting to D'Antonio, for all the people that think this year doesn't matter!
This story could have been about something else like!

In the Boston game, D'antoni started using Galo with Chandler on an offensive and defensive switch. This is for the people that said I was wrong when I said Galo had no Defense!

This is the Same team that won 32 games last year, and you added Galo! These players are better then soon to be 10 games under 500!

The problem is the system! Therefore a good coach would change the system to match the Players! Amare and Nash are not on this team!

LOL. I was waiting for your but "Nate Defense"! How about he did an idiot thing and almost cost his team 3 points by not being aware of the situation and being a moron?

Nate is decent and all but dont get it twisted that he can carry this team bc as evident by his bonehead decisions he isnt ready to do that.

What do you want then to do? Play the Pistons "Bad Boy" defense and grind the clock out. Thats the other problem is that they dont have ANYONE that CAN play shutdown defense let alone have 5 guys that can.

Nate took the Shoot on purpose and should have been disciplined! D'antoni is looking for a reason to explode!

Did he explode on Galo in the Boston game when Galo got stripped twice, and did not even chase the play, the second like?

I am so sorry my Knicks Suu-cc- KK the way they do!

Nate should have been disciplined! 3 and 10 teams do not need players doing something like THAT!

Agreed - contrary to popular belief D'Antoni is not the best overall coach - not even top 5. Like last sunday he could have had Jefferies crown Pierce and put a taller player on Garnet.. what the hell did we sign 7' 2'' Milicic for... or better yet fouled right away to have the Celts reset or call another play... coach blew it.

The team is not disciplined on the court at all - they beat themselves. Watch their body language when they commit silly fouls and turnovers as opponents cash - they just laugh and smile - especially Duhon. Y've cost your team points and you don't even care and the sad thing the coach is allrite with it... what the hell. Y'll never get that with Van Gundy, Phil Jackson or Popovich teams.

Its true the players are gabbage but the coach is also a problem.

Okay! What you just said is one of your better posts! In baseball you put in a different pitcher that throws differently to change the look! Later in a basketball game this COULD also work by adding taller players to shoot over!

What am really saying is this coach is married to a system but does not have thE players to run it! Again therefore a good coach would change the system! You can change it back next year, but win game NOW!
