09:57 AM ET 04.29 | If the Cubs continue to struggle, they could shop Carlos Zambrano to contenders with prospects, a long list including the Mets and Yankees. That would considerably liven up the final week of July.

This is just ny media bullsh*t! They're not gonna let Z get away.

zambrano could turn out to be the next greg maddux if he leaves the cubs. of course i'm not talking about his control. the cubs just have to keep him. he's too good a talent to give up for chump change

As an honest Cubs fan I could deffinitely see it. It'd better be a deal involving A-Rod, a future hall of famer. If they end up with Lasting Milledge I'll be upset.

Just because the bull has been struggling is gonna be on market? common you guys,,,,,,,,he isn't the only pitcher to have a couple of bad games. On the other hands, the Cubs have lost two pitchers, so they want to get out another one just for free? I think that the Boss is the most interested in that kind of comments.

What a bunch of junk...There is no way zambrano will be traded by the Cubs

April 29, 2007  11:35 PM ET

if the cubs trade zambrano they should get someone that can help now
with pitching someone off the major league or a minor league pitcher
that is ready now and if they can not sign they should get something
for zambrano before they lost him at the end of the season they need
to either sign him or trade him before they get zero value in return as
the cubs always get when they lose a player like that

April 29, 2007  11:49 PM ET

THIS IS **** ITS JUST ANOTHER OF THE CUBS JUST GIVING UP
AND NOT PAYING THE PLAYER WHO HAS SHOW AND PLAY GREAT
TO JUST GIVE UP JUST TO SAVE MONEY...............................JUST SELL
THE CLUB TO SOMEONE WHO CARES LIKE THE THE FANS SHOULD
COME TOGETHER AND THE TEAM SAVE ALL THE FANS

We should absolutely trade him! He'll never have the control or temperment to be a true #1 pitcher and to give him Zito-like money is insane. If the cubs are 5-10 games under .500 by the All-Star break, they should really consider this move. If we could get some young pitching that will be ready in a year or two, this is a no-brainer.

The way things are going, Big Z will be a Yankee next year one way or the other - better to get value for him while we can.

I just read that several teams have contacted the Cubs about "Big Z". The Cubs said they are not sure what they were planing on doing with him. Sign him, keep him till end of the year, or trade him. Of course this is just rumor mill talk.

Prospects baby, prospects.

We did well with 3 good picthers, not 1
