08:07 AM ET 12.08 | As NFL suitors line up for the services of Charlie Weis (or, possibly, as agent Bob Lamonte tries to create the impression that NFL suitors are lining up for the services of Charlie Weis), we've caught wind of a fairly surprising rumor that the Browns could be in play to land Weis as offensive coordinator. Weis would land in Cleveland as offensive coordinator after the termination of coach Eric Mangini. There's also another fairly surprising rumor that Weis met over the weekend with owner Randy Lerner and G.M. trainee Bernie Kosar.

This plays right into Tomlin's hands. Buy weekly passes to Country Buffet for Mangini AND Weis! Just imagine the carnage! The whole Browns team will be too shocked and disgusted to function.

AAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

The Browns could do worse than Weis.

Message to Lerner - hiring your Offensive Coordinator before hiring your Head Coach is not a good idea.

See D. Snyder and J. Jones for further information.

I don't think they could try any harder, I mean look at who they hired to coach their team, isn't that low enough?

It should, but Mangini's already done that.

geeeeez... Sir CW in Cleveland (?) where i hear there are some great local buffets AND he can invite brady quinn with him to continue "polishing that lump of coal" into a NFL QB while discussing bringing jimmy clausen to cleveland too. hey..maybe even the 3 amigos could discuss who they'd want for a head coach! then they could all go over to the R&R Hall of Fame and blow some of that alleged $18 million on souvenirs for the ND faculty and all us disappointed Domers.......ha!!!

I think this move would make too much sense for the BROWNS.
