Vinny Testaverde told Sporting News Radio yesterday he has an arrangement with the Patriots to return for the 2007 season. Testaverde's locker has remained intact at Gillette Stadium, a sign of his likely return. He also participated in the team's offseason passing camps and a mandatory full-time minicamp in June.

OMG....you mean to tell me that the league is soo thin at QB to where this old **** like him and Jeff George keep getting signed to teams? My God, let's go call Montana, Elway, and Kelly back. Broadway Joe may have a little gas left in the tank too. RETIRE VINNY!

you can't say f*a*r*t? wow.

First Flutie, now Testaverde, these guys are great. Good for Belichek, bringing in some character veterans to fill a roll he never intends to use anyway.

For real- I'd rather have Staubach than Interceptaverde.

MAYBE BEST QB IN NFL AND THE WORST BACK-UP IN NFL .....EVER!
WOW, THEY BETTER KEEP BRADY IN ONE PIECE.
HOW ARE MARINO"S KNEES ANYWAY, HE HAS BEEN ALL OVER THE TV SAYING HE IS IN PLAYING WEIGHT COACH!!! STILL GOT THE ITCH FOR THE RING DAN?

July 14, 2007  11:24 AM ET

Testaverde seems to be trying to become the 21st century's version of George Blanda. Too bad he can't kick field goals.
By the way, Blanda was a better Quarterback also.

Vinny, Vinny, Vinny! I used to think that he liked spaghetti, but where's the Parmesan Cheese!!! Go Huskers!

I am Spartak Olga

I am glad to see Moses, I mean Vinny is still doing well.

July 14, 2007  02:37 PM ET

Moses? More like Mathuzala.

Pioli has plan.
Brady's new kid best talent
for back-up QB.

Exactly. He'll be there to teach the younger QB's. His chances of playing in an actual game are somewhere between infinitesimal and none.

July 14, 2007  04:29 PM ET

The first time he goes in he is going to break his hip.

July 14, 2007  08:09 PM ET

Brady always plays better with a veteran on the sidelines. It's good for Tom, besides, Vinny deserves a ring.

July 15, 2007  12:34 AM ET

Vinny will not be getting his ring this year.

July 15, 2007  10:50 AM ET

I would put money on the Patriots before the Colts. Besides Vinny isn't going to do much except watch from the sidelines. They should have gotten someone else though.

July 15, 2007  10:45 PM ET

For all the moves they made, the Patties did not make the most important move a team can make. rule number one: you are only as good as your back-up QB. If Brady goes down, so do the Patty Cakes.

Vinny is one heck of a clip board holder!
