08:18 AM ET 12.26 | Golden State Warriors general manager Larry Riley said he is weary of all the trade rumors hanging over his team and claims he is not shopping any player - despite rumblings throughout the NBA indicating otherwise. One NBA executive said the Warriors are "trying to unload" forward Corey Maggette (no surprise, given his mammoth contract) and would trade young forward Anthony Randolph for "the right veteran."

Who in the hell wants a contract like that from a player like that???

How come they paid the man from the beginning. A lot of money for a Clipper-player. Plus he isn't leader material.

any chance Brian Scalabrine fits this description? ;)

December 26, 2009  09:23 AM ET

The signing of Magette was a knee jerk reaction to the Clippers signing of Davis. It worked out horrible for both teams.

The Warriors front office is horrible and Don Nelson needs to retire. That team has been a revolving door, with players coming and going. They have some good young players that they can build a team around. Keep them, develop a good system and trade away the "garbage". Sorry but Scalabrine does not match the description.

It seems to me that there is lot of turnover with the Warriors roster. Maybe Nelson is looking for a magical combination. When the years past and you cannot seem to get it done, you got to hope for magic.

Magette is one of those 'potential' guys- that GM's think they
can mold into a 'stud'
He isn't a bad player - but he certainly should never have
been given that contract

The Warriors won't be satisfied until they morph this team into the Nets.

He staying cause that contract is way to much for him....Randolph would be a steal if someone can get him.....i think he would be great in cleveland......

Orlando would be a better fit and could be potentially a great combo with Lewis and Howard. I would love for my Knicks to get him but I do not see a match. If Alston + a young player like Sean Williams and a second round pick for Randolph (and throw-ins to match salaries) the Nets should leap at that deal. Randolph and Lopez would be a nice front court for few years.

Randolph for Tyrus Thomas?

see i think he would be better with the cavs than orlando.....the magic has two scorers they allready cant get dwight enough touches so why add another one to take even more shots from him....7 shots against boston..come on...so no randolph would be awful there...the nets aint spending nothing just yet so i can see that happening

They're shopping everyone, cept Nelson.

I'd make that trade in a minute if i was the GM for the bulls........Maggette is a black hole who only scores, thats his M.O. and always will be. Passing the ball is a disease to this guy.

Cant believe the Warriors are so desperate to move contracts that they will move Anthony Randolph that is still in his Rookie Contract.

The Warriors are worse than the Nets could ever be.
They create the ultimate "hell" franchise by trading away good players soon after acquiring them.

Exactly !!
You stole the words from my mouth ! I was going to talk about the Warriors franchise as a "revolving door", where they get rid of their best players and keep the average ones.
Any player that develops into a star - or even just a strong presence - gets traded.
Then the Warriors bring in new talent, develop them, and then trade them again.
That's the cycle that they have adopted.
