Griffin (Ga.) defensive end Toby Jackson, who committed to Georgia last month, came away impressed with Auburn following his participation in a one-day camp on Saturday. "I enjoyed it," Jackson said. "I had a good time. I was sort of impressed by the coaches." Jackson said Tuesday evening he may travel to Gainesville, Fla. later this week to attend a similar camp coordinated by the Florida coaching staff. "Even though I've committed, I haven't closed the door on anybody. I plan to take all of my visits." Jackson said he's been candid with the Georgia coaching staff.

Way to go Jackson, show them your word means nothing!!!!

I'm committed to Georgia, BUT if another school can sweet talk me out of it, I'm ALL EARS.

He knows where the great ends come from; he'll be back.

Why "commit" if you are leaving the door open to pull the chute?

July 17, 2007  11:15 AM ET

At 18 or 19, it's a tough decision to make, so I can't blame him for being indecisive. So what, he's waffling and not decided; that's fine. If you don't know where you want to go yet, though, don't commit to someone. Seems like that should be pretty obvious.

July 17, 2007  11:51 AM ET

Do you blame him? Florida or Auburn would be alot better to play at than Georgia.

July 17, 2007  12:22 PM ET

why "committ" if you are not actually going to committ.
there have been a ton of great DEs to come out of UGA, he needs to think long and hard about that

Georgia is a fine school for both football and academics (Oh no, the a-word). The kid is 18 or 19 and about to make a life changing decision. Yeah, I'll cut him some slack about it. However, if he's unsure, he shouldn't have committed so early. Just be honest and say you aren't sure yet.

July 17, 2007  03:35 PM ET

I don't blame him, Auburn is a better school

July 18, 2007  09:37 AM ET

He may not be the only one who has switching on the mind . Watch out for Davis and N.C.. They're working HARD on Allen to get him and SOS has already started to work on A.J. Green.

July 18, 2007  09:53 AM ET

One reason players commit so early is to get the process over and schools off of their back so they can enjoy their summer and senior year/season. So don't expect all of that persistence to pay off for those coaches.

July 18, 2007  09:54 AM ET

because it might actually hurt them in the end.

July 18, 2007  11:01 AM ET

Wow, someone actually said Auburn is a better school? I know you cow tippers on "the plains" are ignorant, but that's taking it to a whole new level. Hey, Auburn, I think Matthew Stafford just threw another touchdown pass on your secondary. And what's that? Brandon Cox just threw ANOTHER interception. See you in November, WarTigEagles.

Auburn academics? Cmon, my high school had a more rigorous academic program than Auburn!

July 18, 2007  01:54 PM ET

When these kids see the coaches "waffling" all the time, why should they be held to a higher standard?

July 18, 2007  02:04 PM ET

How are the coaches waffling all of the time? I don't see how you made that connection.

One of the main requirements to attend Auburn is to be rejected from UGA.

War damn eagle!

you want to go to a school that cannot decide whether they are tigers or eagles? and what does the word committment mean anyhow?
