07:01 AM ET 07.18 | Chris Demarest, the assistant head football coach at Rutgers, was arrested early Saturday morning and charged with assaulting a woman after an incident at a bar in Long Branch, N.J. An off-duty detective witnessed Demarest, 42, "grabbing and pushing" a woman inside a bar, according to a statement from the police. Demarest was charged with domestic violence simple assault because he was in a "dating relationship" with the woman, Long Branch City Police said.
