09:40 AM ET 07.25 | Word among rival executives at the owners meetings in March was that Bill Belichick had two years and $8 million remaining on his pact, but it's important to note those details have never been confirmed. If true, that would put Belichick in the upper middle of the pack financially and behind such coaches as Mike Holmgren ($8 million per year), Mike Shanahan ($6 million-plus) and Tony Dungy ($5 million). It also would lend credence to the quiet and yet persistent rumors that Belichick will leave after this season.
