New Devils staff has history

When the Devils open their season, new head coach Brent Sutter will be joined by four assistants who have either coached or played for the Devils. Larry Robinson has been the Devils' head coach twice, and John MacLean said two months ago that he wanted the job that went to Sutter. Tommy Albelin, a former Devils defenseman, will help coach the team from the press box during games. Jacques Caron will return for his 15th season as the coach of the team's goaltending corps, which includes Martin Brodeur and Kevin Weekes. The coaches were apparently Sutter's choices.
