08:43 AM ET 07.26 | While bags were being unpacked by his Viking teammates in Mankato, Adrian Peterson's two suitcases were still crammed ... and still parked in Norman, Okla. Although he remained optimistic that he would be at the Vikings' first official practice Friday morning at Minnesota State Mankato, Peterson was 770 miles away Wednesday night, trying to maintain his cool. "I just want to get a fair market deal, knowing that your family is going to be set for life, because you never know," Peterson said. "Success is like a light switch, especially being a running back and the punishment we take. This isn't just about now. This is about the future. It's not about being greedy."
