This team's leading scorer last year was Mike Ribeiro, and they are simply re-signing all their forwards back? Doesn't that seem weird to anyone else?

They need to get Antti outta here. He's an pretty good player, but he's selfish, in instances where he should be passing the puck to set up a scoring chance he keeps it, and takes the shot himself. He's a good skater, but I think the Stars would be better off without him.

They need Jokinen in this new NHL, I was surprised how many games come down to a shoot out and thats the difference from a 8th place team making the play offs and a ninth place team not making the play offs.
I dont follow the stars that often so I dont know what kind of player Antti is but does he have the same impact that could win a game like Jussi does in the shoot out ?

Antti is a decently tradeable commodity, package him with some other pieces and you might get something nice in return. The Stars absolutely need to bring in some scoring punch. It's a shame that the top offensive free agents this year were eiher too expensive and/or not worth what they were getting. The Stars will have to aqquire what they need through some trades. Here's hoping they can swing another Ribiero-type deal.

The Stars have a roster full of assist heavy guys, and adding another Ribiero type player would just add to an already bloated list. They need scorers, not helpers. Their top goal scorer had only 26 goals last year, and only one other guys over 20....though, I grant you Morrow would have been 20+ if he hadn't gotten hurt. Most of the top teams have 4-5 guys at 20+ with at least one guy in the 30-40+ range. Stars just haven't had a guy that could put the puck in the net consistently for years...and it's hurt them in the tight playoff games...that they just keep on losing.

The Stars are obviously in need of a scoring forward, trading Antti along with some others may generate a decent offer, hopefully they will not have to mortgage alot of future talent to get what they need now ....

Yeah you all said it the stars need a scorer and no more passers, hopefully we can acquire a gifted goal scorer. The stars will definitely get Jokinen back this year and I think he will have a good year this year with getting some more goals. Junior Lessard also needs to make the jump this year and get to the nhl. As bad as it sounds I think the stars should maybe try and sign Lindros again even though he played less than half the games in the season he still was one of the better goal scorers we had.
