Smart moves.

Those three kids are going to be integral members of the team as this season ends and for the years to come.

Everyone knows that the Red Sox and Yankees are in a battle and are dum not to demand the more from them in trades, b/c they are in a win now mind set.

ELLEN abandoned her ALL CAPS craze, and usurped my rightful place to post the first insipid remark.

Give the man some credit, Okijima and Dice-K weren't smart moves?

I think OKI and K-Dice was a good move for the Soxs - but the price paid was the wrong move...

so if they aren't going to make any major moves.......then why does every si rumor involve the red sox? these people at si are so stupid they are contradicting themselves.........

They're not stupid, they know that Red Sox and Yankee rumors get the most attention.

Have you seen days on here when there isn't 1 rumor involving Red Sox or Yankees? It is DEAD.

Yeah they are in first, but the pop ain't what it used to be. Good pitching, I think they need a little more offense.

Boston has the 5th rated offense in the league (and that's with 80 games of Manny, Ortiz, Drew, Lugo and Crisp all under-performing). Everyone but Drew has picked it up dramatically since the break.

Couple that with the 2nd best pitching in the league, and you have one hell of a balanced attack (the only team in the Top 5 in both, actually).

are you kidding me? Dice-K has won 12 games with a 3.70 ERA. thats not worth 8 million a year? they did pay the posting fee but that pays for itself with all of the advertising and everything you get from Japan. Okijima was a steal. he is the best setup man in the game and he is making 1.25 million a year. that is a HUGE steal.

The Yankees will win the division. Enough Said. And all boston fans know it could happen.

"will win the division" and "could happen" are two ENTIRELY different sentiments, TyBk.

The latter one is undeniable, the former one is completely debatable.

hyper at the end of the day the Yankees, Angels,Tigers and Indians will be in with the RedSox wondering why is Manny still being Manny...
