Sean Avery is the dumbest idiot in the league. Yeah, Ok, he brought some grit to New York but he is a total coward!!! He has no respect for other players and on many occasions he goes after players who don???t fight in the league or he waits for his teammates to do his dirty work. If anyone on here writes that he is a great player I think I will have to puke!!!! He is NOT worth 2 million a year and when the guy does get his raise he should invest in some books. I think the Where???s Waldo series will be a good start for him!

If anyone has ever seen an arbitration briefing...this stuff is quite commonplace. It just so happens though that Sather went slightly overboard and they are seriously low-balling this guy in negotiations. He was one of the main reasons we went 17-6-6 or whatever it was late in the season. So I think Slats needs to cool it. I never liked him as a GM anyway.

Are Sean Avery's feelings hurt? Golly, that's so sad. He's such a class act--always upsetting to see bad things happen to good people.

Sad when a team that praises you one day will trash you the next just to save money. I don't like Avery but he did the job he was asked to do and did it good....2.6 mil is too much for that kind of talent though.

Avery is a jerk. If anyone has the nads to ignore him and just play hockey, the guy is useless. It is only when guys get ticked at his jr. B tactics, and chase him around the ice that he becomes effective.
