That's a start! I love Ron Ron but he's really gotta shape up. Practice what you preach!

July 30, 2007  10:29 AM ET

Somebody needs to remind me of his wrongdoings. There was the fight in Detroit but what else? I really don't remember. He should go home and bring some tenacity back to the Garden.

Wasn't he at Michael Vick's dogfights .... fighting??

lol

In other news, the undead spectre of Joseph Stalin unearthed himself today to tell kindergartners that sharing is fundamental.

July 30, 2007  11:17 AM ET

That was the whole idea behind communism, wasn't it?

July 30, 2007  11:25 AM ET

hes as bad as tyson preaching to kids bout not doing drugs then getting arrested for coke

July 30, 2007  11:47 AM ET

GOOD JOB ARTEST NOW U CAN START DOIN IT TOO!!

July 30, 2007  12:13 PM ET

By all means yes. Urge children to lead the life of....

July 30, 2007  12:27 PM ET

Beats the heck out of telling them to do bad.

July 30, 2007  12:54 PM ET

He's giving them good advice!!! He's saying dont be like me, be clean, and you will succeed in b-ball!!!! Whats wrong with that? You people are funny!!!

July 30, 2007  01:15 PM ET

No MacaDamien...they just rather have someone else with a clean record say that to them...but what they dont realize is that those student not trying to hear it from someone they cant relate to...they respect RON coz they see ppl like RON everyday...so RON words carry more weight than Johnny TOO GOOD

July 30, 2007  01:18 PM ET

Did the courts order Artest to do this visit? I can't see an NBA player doing something nice and talking with kids and the media reporting it. That just doesnt happen anymore.

July 30, 2007  01:49 PM ET

Why are we allowing children to listen to Ron Artest?

July 30, 2007  02:09 PM ET

There's a term for this: oxymoron. Look it up in the dictionary, people.

July 30, 2007  02:37 PM ET

Ronron is a good person he just has poor judgement.

July 30, 2007  02:40 PM ET

that just shows you how much the NYC school system has fallen....bringing in Artest to talk to kids to stay out of trouble.

what's next? bringing in Karl ROve to talk about how democrats are good for the country?

July 30, 2007  03:59 PM ET

Will Paris Hilton soon be preaching abstinence to school kids? Good lord.

July 30, 2007  03:59 PM ET

Cookiejar: As a product of the NYC school system, I only have one thing to say: you're absolutely right. I know Ron Ron just went over to Kenya, and now he feels like a humanitarian but he is just nothing but another athlete preaching one thing but doing another.

Now, he just basically told kids how to live, but these same kids are old enough to know why he can't play the first 7 games of next season.

July 30, 2007  04:01 PM ET

EJ, oxymoron refers to a name like "jumbo shrimp". It doesn't exactly apply accurately in this scenario.

July 30, 2007  04:17 PM ET

That's ironic.
