After a brief chat with manager Ozzie Guillen, it was decided Jose Contreras will make his next scheduled start this Tuesday against the Yankees. Guillen was worried about Contreras' back, but Contreras told him he feels fine.

argh, whenever he starts it's bad news, get this guy out of town

You could put a hit on him.

He is going to get bombed!!!

He's starting at Yankee Stadium?? I have a feeling he's going to get tagged.

Contreras's last 11 starts are why I so adamantly stressed that Ken Williams was going to fleece any team that dealt for Contreras. I'm glad Ken's hands are tied now. I'm even more glad Omar Minaya was taking his medication and did NOT deal for Contreras a month ago.

Is Minaya on medications, Dave?

Well, he does tend to pitch well against the yanks for some reason. Maybe that is why he is saying he is fine and then after that he will go on the DL again. The guy is a head case. Send him back to Florida or Cuba or where ever Cubans come from.

Where the hell'd you get that idea, HAL?

He'll "go on the DL again?" Contreras is one of the least injured starters out there. And where do you get that he's "a head case"? You must be a Yankee fan.

SouthSide,

A year ago this time Contreras was one of the best pitchers in Baseball and Mark Buehrle was going through the worst stretch of his baseball career. Were you saying the same thing about MB, then?

I'm a lifelong Sox fan. Born and raised on the South Side. But it never ceases to amaze me how short a Sox fans memory is.

Whoa whoa whoa, 1st Mark Buehrle is the face of the franchise and I never doubted him for 1 bad season, well except when he gave up a hr to Zambrano in the crosstown classic. 2nd they Sox traded the wrong Cuban El Duke should have stayed and Contreras should have been moved when his value was so high; buy low, sell high!
