Larry Brown preparing for Philly comeback?

11:02 AM ET 03.12 | It's a known fact: Larry Brown cannot last long with the same team. So now that Eddie Jordan's time in Philadelphia is said to be nearing an end, Brown, the current Bobcats coach, is rumored to be next in line. Brown, who has been with nine teams over his coaching career, was with the Sixers for six seasons and led them to the Finals in 2001. But Brown reportedly told team owner Ed Snider to wait until the season's end before booting Jordan and to get younger players -- like Jodie Meeks, Jason Smith, Krue Holiday and Thaddeus Young -- as much playing time as possible to help them for next season. Is this a sign Brown is preparing for a Philly comeback?

Unless the new coach is going to suit up, rebound and play defense, it doesn't matter--they're still gonna suck.

Why???? Go from a up and coming team to a just getting worse team??? Makes no sense....then again its Larry Brown...

This is Brown following his heart. The guy likes to take wayward to respectability then leave. You can call his stint in NY an anomally. Bobcats are a legit playoff team... that's not his forte...

"Next Town" Larry Brown changes teams more frequently than an old ex-girlfriend changed G-Strings.......... And just the same after awhile they both became annoying...!

Stick & Move!

it's more like he takes teh team to where he feels they've
reached their max.....THEN he leaves when he feels there's
no room for improvement-

The detroit thing was an issue with the owner (slightly different
than other stops)...so if he is leaving- it tells you the bobcats
have peaked

As a coach why would you want to move to a team who has no idea where they are going. he's done a good job with the Cats and this year they have a very big chance to go to the playoffs. they might even knock the cavs out if they meet in the 1st round

Y've got a good point... Jordan taking over doesn't look good as well given his management and draft record. Philly has some nice pieces but they need a lot to be true contenders. This situation is questionable on all levels...

5 teams in 15 years... if you don't want your girlfriend to change her butt floss more than once every three years, you may need some counselling!

Another stupid story. He is doing really well in Charlotte and he is probably going to bring the Bobcats first playoff appearance. Why would he go back to Philly? Just stupid.

i think LB will stay put for a while... he's an old tarheel PG with a tarheel PG on his team, which is now owned by a tarheel. he's got his basketball family surrounding him and he's on the cusp of putting together a contender. i hope he does, and succeeds. GO TARHEELS!!!!!!!
