Lewis doesn't believe in SI jinx
Running back Jamal Lewis was surprised Monday to hear he was on the cover of Sports Illustrated's fantasy football issue. "I hadn't heard that yet," said Lewis. "That's news to me. That's a great accomplishment but I think it does more to expose the Browns more than myself, to put this team out there, just to let people know we're coming and that we're going to be a threat this year." Lewis was asked if he's aware of the Sports Illustrated jinx. "I don't believe in jinxes," he said. "I've been hurt, injured - I have had the jinx and all that. It's not a big thing to me."

Saw him in camp - MAN, he looks like he'll be strong for the Browns this year. Peter King agrees. I'm looking forward to seeing what it's like to have an actual running game. The only things I worry about are the quality of QB play to support him and the fact that there's no experienced backup should Lewis be injured. But we'll just have to see.

Jason Wright looked pretty good at times last year, and I hear Harrison's bulked up. I haven't been able to get to Berea yet, hows Harrison looking? Being able to pound the ball's going to be nice

I wouldn't pick him for my fantasy this year - he won't have the Browns to play against to pad his stats!
But seriously, I am a Jamal Lewis fan, and I hope he, and his team, do well this year.
One more thing - isn't the SI jinx just for the covers of the actual magazine? I don't really think it extends to the special edition mags, does it? Plus, its no like its the cover of Madden 08 or anything...

Uh-oh... That is about the last thing we need, is more bad luck. I thought we got our fill with Tim "Needs one so that when he gets repeatedly knocked on his can, he lands softly" Couch.

The real jinx is with the MADDEN cover. Dont be selecting Young as your QB. Titan fans have to be nervous.
