Bonds doesn't want No. 756 ball

06:44 AM ET 08.02 | Before resuming his quest to dethrone Hank Aaron as baseball's home run king last night, Barry Bonds deigned to speak with reporters who are covering his trudge toward history. In a barely audible voice, Bonds sat in front of his locker as a few dozen reporters strained to hear the answers to what he called a bunch of old questions. Eventually, Bonds was asked if he'd like to have the ball when he hits No. 756. You know, a little keepsake from the happy summer of 2007. "No," Bonds said, pausing. "It's not mine." The fan who catches that ball could be rich and Bonds knows it. The record-breaker, by some estimates, could be worth more than $500,000."I had a little kid come up to me and tell me he'd give the ball back to me," Bonds said with a laugh. "I said, 'Are you stupid? You'd have more money than your parents.'"

That's Barry's way of being nice: "Are you stupid?"

Ah...good ole Barry...asking kids if they're stupid and providing an example that money is everything...I like it better when he isn't talking to reporters.

Though it's true the kid would be stupid to give it back any normal person knows that you just shouldn't talk to a child like that, but then it's Barry.

Can you imagine how amazing it would be if the people who catch 755 and 756 had the balls to throw it back.

Once again, Bonds shows what an asteriskhole he really is.

They threw back the one he hit in Chicago, not that it had as much significance as the next two he hits but they did throw it back.

If someone threw the ball back, I know I'd contribute money to him/her to off-set the money lost from the ball sale.

TMZ-The evidence against Bonds is HUGE. Other players saying he did it, his personal trainer and his ties to Balco, etc etc etc.

there's a difference between proving something in a court of law and being able to form an opinion. We're not trying to put him in jail. We're trying to determine if his HR's are valid.

As for his making the HoF...I'm hoping that by the time he decides to retire and waits the amount of time you have to wait to be inducted that A-rod has already passed his homerun count and he still won't be inducted as the all time leader in HR's...A-rod will be.
