Norcross (Ga.) receiver Brice Butler picked USC over Arizona State, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Notre Dame, Oregon, Oregon State and Penn State. Butler, ranked by Scout.com as the nation's sixth-best receiver, spurned Florida State, the school where his father, Bobby, starred before embarking on a 12-year NFL career. Butler said he knew one month after visiting USC that it was the school for him. The weather, the coaches and the program's recent success under Pete Carroll swayed the star receiver.

When you sign with USC, your chances of being on a national title team are greater than anywhere else. Plain and simple.

Pete Carroll is a stand up guy...all the kids want to and like playing for him...he is truely a players coach...so what if he turns a blind eye to boosters giving players money and gifts...heck they deserve it.

There is no doubt that Carroll is the "the" coach to play for today in college ball. USC is a great school and a football powerhouse. With that being said, you know that most of these kids come to USC to get a chance to screw Kim Kardashian and smoke pot with Snoop.

Carroll has found his calling as a college coach.....He was a decent NFL coach but will be a hall of famer as long as he doesnt think the grass is greener in the NFL.....N it hurts to say this as a UCLA fan but respect is due to Carroll after he transformed Trojans from a 6-6 team back in2 a major player in College football.....

Look if you have NFL talent, which all the stud high school kids think they do, then why be scared of competition. USC preaches its competition, so the kids who are mentally tough wont be afraid of it.
