07:59 AM ET 08.06 | The Browns have made some progress in negotiations for quarterback Brady Quinn and are now only about $500,000 apart in guaranteed money. However, there are other issues holding up the deal, including the triggers for the incentive package. The No. 22 overall pick, Quinn is seeking about $8 million in guaranteed money, same as the No. 20 overall pick, and the Browns have increased their guaranteed offer to about $7.5 million.

Quinn needs to knock off the hold out and get into camp. If he's as good as he thinks he'll make up that $500K in his next contract and in endorsements.

Why am I seeing him in magazines endorseing stuf already? EOS, I think it is - and his arms look alot bigger in those ads than they do in THIS pic! Shut up, sign your contract, prove your worth, THEN make your money. Hope the Browns do well though...

As big as a Browns fan I am and as interested as I am in seeing if this guy can actually put up the numbers that he and his agent are requesting due salary for from the Browns I am totally over this. He is a product of professional sports ridiculousness (It that is even a word). His daddy and all the media have hyped this kid so much that he actually thinks he's worth this hold out and all the money and incentives that he and his agent are trying to get him. He needs to get over himself and get his butt on the field because the longer he holds out the more likely we won't see him take a single snap in a live NFL game until at least December and that is if he was in camp today. I don't care how fast a study he is or who his coach was in college. The longer he holds out the longer it will be before we see if he can actually succeed at this level and at this rate that means Cleveland will be paying this punk the first year to do nothing. How can they quable over "incentives" and whether he makes the pro-bowl if the he isn't even playing? Here is an incentive you moron...get **** on the practice field and we'll think about letting you have an NFL career at some point in your 20's. Otherwise let see how much longer you can continue to act like a rock star and throw out first pitches at baseball games, sing "Take Me Out to the Ballpark" at Wrigley and charge a ridiculous $75 for an autograph. $75 for an autograph and he hasn't taken a single snap in the NFL yet...how inflated of an ego does this kid have?

Same incorrect picture they used with the last Quinn story. The guys at Fannation need to switch from decaf back to regular and start paying attention.
Every passing day he's not at camp is decreasing his chances of starting at all this year. This guy just doesn't know what's good for him.

Yea, I noticed THE TRUTH but it is normal for Fannation to just throw any picture of any guy that is on the same team up there for the photo so I don't even both mentioning it anymore. Last week even in the written article they said Morris was traded from the SF Giants to the SF Giants!? How hard is it to proof read and get the correct picture? Probably hired a bunch of high school kids for the summer that have never played sports let alone know who players are to post this stuff.

not sure his color has much to do with this story, arent like 70% of the players in the nfl black? anyway, he just isn't going to be that good. didnt play very well in big games at ND. plus usually when the concern is about money upfront, players are already preparing for there own failure. not a great sign.

appears he wants to hold out just long enough to not be named a starter this year.

Blacksheep. Being blinded by ignorance, it is understandable that you failed to notice that Jamarcus Russell, who was drafted number 1, is not a white guy. Apparently, the NFL is less prejudice than you.

Blacksheep, regardless of those names, that was still an ignorant statement. Being white has nothing to do with getting a 2nd chance. Last time I checked Culpepper is now with his 3rd team in 3 years.

Blacksheep we were missing three starters when Ron Dayne put a buck53 on your Colts last Decemeber, you had better hope we have not improved much.

lts try 85% and thats my point exactly you have these idiots that call others idiots when they say race plays a part it plays a part in everything we do and if people cant see that every time someone like chris leake and they guy from ohio state ply for the national championship and are told to go to the nfl at another position what does that say

It says the pro scouts don't think they are suited to play QB in the NFL and because they have the skills to play another position. If Quinn couldn't play QB do you think they would try to turn him into a WR? No, becauue he's not athletic enough.
