Catcher wants return to Cubs

Jason Kendall has been a Cub for less than a month, but that's long enough for the veteran catcher to know he wants to return next year. Kendall has not spoken to general manager Jim Hendry about the possibility of coming back in '08.

In Oakland? I hear car theft is up, rape and murder,too.Jason Kendall, a guy who once hit alotta homers, has Dal Maxvillian power numbers. Still,he can catch 50% better than Barrett, and the hex is now San Diego`s problem. Padres,indeed. They will need an exorcism to free them of Barrett`s ruinous talents. Things were getting so bad behind the plate the Cubs tried to lure George Mitterwald out of retirement. ..so bad they were thinking of spending untold millions on Todd Hundley`s ghost tp play another season. Oh wait. They already did that....

anything that resulted in that ruiner of good pitchers, Michael Barrett,staying gone is a good thing. Though Bowen actually hit two homers the other night for A`s. Kendall`s bat is showing life, a plus.His defense is ok,better than Barrett`s.Bowen didn`t fit,period.

Maybe he should be more concerned with actually "catching the ball", this guy needs to give it up, he's not very good anymore
