"It's basically a way for us to evaluate our draft picks, our free agents and these tryout players, to see if maybe they're better than some of the guys we have ...and try to make the bottom third of our roster better." Still, some of those participating rank near the top of the roster, most notably quarterback Sam Bradford, the No. 1 pick in last week's draft. "The quarterback position, I know there obviously will be a microscope on that," Spagnuolo said. "It'll be a nice, gradual initiation for him. Certainly, he'll step up there with the first group and execute the offense."
