Owen committed to Newcastle
Michael Owen is "100% committed" to Newcastle United - and did not appreciate the club's former chairman Freddy Shepherd publicly pressurising him into declaing his loyalty. Owen was linked by the media with a move away from St James' Park this summer after it was revealed he had a "get-out" clause in his Newcastle contract.
