10:34 AM ET 08.19 | In the wake of two straight victories and his FedEx Cup commercials, Tiger Woods' abrupt withdrawal is the symbolic equivalent of gently slapping the commissioner's face with a sweaty golf glove. But Woods' rejection notice didn't bother veteran Jeff Maggert. "I don't blame Tiger at all," Maggart said. "If I was in his shoes, I'd be doing the same thing. There's no reason for him to have an incentive to play four weeks in a row. Why should he? Obviously he has a system to prepare for tournaments, and why should he change that?" Another Tour veteran, Joey Sindelar, considered Woods' withdrawal virtually automatic because Woods doesn't play four straight weeks and doesn't adore Westchester Country Club, where he has competed only three times since turning pro.
