08:01 AM ET 06.08 | If things break the wrong way for Missouri, it could wind up playing in the Mountain West -- and that might be behind the flirting with the Big Ten. Maybe MU director of athletics Mike Alden has a secret arrangement with the Big Ten; if so there's nothing to worry about. But if Alden doesn't have an off-the-record deal with B-10 commish Jim Delany, and the Big 12 dissolves, and Mizzou is left scrambling to find a new home in a lesser conference than what the Big 12 is now, it'll be Alden's neck -- figuratively speaking of course. Crazy, anxious times for MU.
