Sophomore Richie Rich will get the first opportunity in a crowded tailback rotation for North Carolina in its opener Saturday against James Madison. The depth chart coach Butch Davis released Monday showed Rich ahead of redshirt freshmen Johnny White and Anthony Elzy. A sprained ankle has limited Elzy's progress. Davis said he plans to play two or three tailbacks Saturday.

If there ever was a case for patricide, I think this might qualify. Naming your kid after a Harvey Comics character? I hope his sister wasn't namd Little Lotta!

I just think it's awesome that his folks stepped up and called him Richie Rich. Like I said before I hope he has (or had) a dog named Dollar.

By the way I think How bout 'em needs to familiarize himself with the Richie Rich series. The cartoon had a pet dog named Dollar in it.

James Madison has a football team? Richie Rich is what I call my neighbor who has a credit card addiction.

That's sad when Richie Rich is your best option.

I was 'uhhhh, ok'ing the story, EJ. I try not to be negative towards people unless they really deserve it.

I actually did forget that he had a dog named dollar, but it would made sense.

August 29, 2007  04:21 PM ET

For starters I did not put him down. I love the name, and I wish the kid well. Two, lighten up. I was just having a little fun with ya, but if I came off as negative: my bad.

Yeah man, I didn't think you were being negative towards him, I thought you though I was being negative towards you. I gotcha, I wasn't that serious dude.

Someone should bring a dog to the game, if they can, witha dollar sign on his face.
