How about tweaking it OUT of existance!

This FedEx BS is a joke are you going to have a play off now for the Masters? is it going to a 4 week event to see who wins the Masters.
I doubt it. the Master's is winner take all.

So should the FedEx Cup, the player with the most points wins the 10 million that's it Hey Tim since you created this mess you should fix it.

These player's play their **** off all year and find out that they have to wait 20 years before that can cash in on the money I believe that is BS. If you the FedEx Cup you would be dead before you would collect a dime of the 10 million. You must of been brain dead at the time you thought of this.

The Dr is going to give you some good advice, have the FedEx for one year and do away with it.

All the great players would have told you to take a hike on this format, I think it's time for you to take a hike.

And about the 10 million, that seems like a bit of a scam. Is the amount adjusted for inflation until you receive it? After all, 10 million has more buying power today than it will in 15-20 years...

The FedEx Cup is a bad idea and is not credibly described as a "playoff" when the golfers eliminated are largely unknown to the public. It is just a series of ever more exclusive tournaments that climax in the very same exclusive tournament held each year. Why not try a real playoff, with a Ryder Cup flavor to it. Divide the country into four areas, West, South, East and Mid (everything else). The winners of the tournaments throughtout the year in each region would accumulate points--not top 10's, etc. only winners. At the end of the year, the top 10-12 in each region qualify for the playoffs. Each major tournament winner will be assigned to one of the four regions and will be the captain of the team. Details such as what to do if fewer than four people win the majors or if golfers qualify for the tournament in more than one region could easily be worked out. The Playoffs would consist of a final four type tournament (East v. West, South v. Mid) and would be match play for big bucks, winning teams take all (or nearly all) of the prize money. It would only take three weeks. Week one, semifinal one. Week 2, semifinal 2. Week 3, finals for very large bucks. Maybe the winning team gets major Ryder Cup points or even becomes the U.S. Ryder Cup team for the matches that would follow in a couple of weeks after the finals. This would be a real playoff, with Ryder Cup like camraderie and real drama.
