Gators hold up Gamecocks recruit

Stockbridge (Ga.) defensive lineman Randy Salmon is leaning toward a commitment to South Carolina. The holdup is a potential scholarship offer from defending national champion Florida. Salmon said Thursday night the Gators have told him they will decide by mid-September if they plan to offer him.

What Florida is really saying is "we want to wait a few weeks and see if someone better comes along". Nothing wrong with that, but it should be a sign to the young kid. Go where you are wanted, just don't skip class.

The things is The gators overrecruited last year and do not ahve many spots for recruits this year. They will not be the number one recruiting class simply because they wont recruit many players. With that said the Gators are being very choosey with who they exetend offers to.

Exactly right Dolphinatik - UF will have to turn away a lot of kids this year that otherwise might get an offer other years.

Spurrier will just have to take the backseat to the Gators but will Urban still be at UF when this kid is a junior!
