Michigan landed its 15th oral commitment for the 2008 recruiting class on Thursday, when linebacker J.B. Fitzgerald said he was coming. TheWolverine.com reported the announcement minutes after it occurred and said the four-star linebacker from Princeton Junction (N.J.) West Windsor Plainsboro South is ranked as Rivals.com's 117th-best player and No. 8 outside linebacker in the class.

For our poetry lovers:

The woodpecker pecked on the school house door.
He pecked and he pecked 'til his pecker got sore.
The woodpecker pecked on the school house bell.
He pecked and he pecked 'til his pecker got well.

JB is a nice pick up from Soprano Land. Next is Brandon Smith (Will Hill would be nice but the kid is going to go live it up gangsta style @ UF).

He better behave or Dexter will get him.

Only a buckeye fan could insult their own tradition by bringing up a worse example of their own misfortune while trying to make fun of their rival.

Lloyd Cooper? Your mom's gotta be so proud. Or maybe you forgot that Cooper was 2-10-1.

Try again. Maybe this time we'll here about all the rest of that great tradition in Columbus. The pi$$ing out of building windows onto fans of the opponents every week, the drunken riots, the flipped over cars, Andy Katzenmoyer unable to pass GOLF and AIDS AWARENESS without tutoring help... Clarett (oh god where do I start?) ...

August 31, 2007  12:27 PM ET

oh you guys you are so mean to me, i dont care who recruits who for UM, hell I even enjoy making fun of OSU's dark time when cooper was coach, thus the comment, Educamate me all ya want...I've said it many times I dont like Michigan but I respect them, I just dont think Lloyd is a good fit for you guys anymore, kinda like Cooper was down here. But if you wan to start a pissin match we can wait til november and settle it on the field, where it'll be another sad day in ann arbor, much like two years ago..and save me the history sh... I've heard it all before..

besides that you guys do have great tailgates...

"michigan battling rutgers for recruits, osu still battles with the big boys...."

Michigan won out over another school that was also pursuing him that you Tosu people may be familiar with - ever heard of a "big boy" called Florida? Haha...you would think Tosu would be a little more humble after getting so brutally reamed in the NC game...

Michigan could have the whole defensive core from the Chicago Bears
and they will still loose in the Rose Bowl.
I mean really, they just have such a rich history of loosing big games.

August 31, 2007  07:27 PM ET

LF: Lose and Losing. There is only one O in both words. Obviously, you are lacking the intelligence that a Michigan education would provide you.

Go Blue!

September 1, 2007  08:30 AM ET

Even a general studies major would not miss spell losing or lose.

September 1, 2007  01:32 PM ET

However, Michigan is currently losing to Appalachian State. Man, what is it about the spread that does in the Michigan D?

September 1, 2007  03:51 PM ET

APP STATE 34, MICH 32: OUCH!!!

September 1, 2007  03:57 PM ET

The Wolverines always manage to so little with so much. Not sure why kids continue to commit to a program that almost always underachieves. Heck, they probably will start the season with a loss to a 1-AA team.

September 1, 2007  04:31 PM ET

Every Year the "Big Blue" continues to Self-Destruct. They've lost the last 3 games. 1st Ohio State (go BUCKS), then their BCS bowl game and today to Appalachian State. No problem Wolverine fans, you could alwasy root for Ohio State : )

They should have never been rated #5

September 1, 2007  05:45 PM ET

Come on Wolverines You can do better than that you're the winningest School in the Nation and you lost to a Div 1 AA champs thats like the Red Sox or Yankees losing to the Chicago Barons.

Come on M get your act straight or you will meet Bama in the Toilet Bowl game

I love Michigan, but after watching the game this is the worst team Michigan ever put on the field. Their place never has kicked a field goal in a game an by the looks of things he never will. Michigan stinks.
