06:57 AM ET 06.30 | When LeBron James starts listening to pitches on Thursday from the teams trying to lure him away from the Cleveland Cavaliers, one person who is not expected to be present is William Wesley, a prominent, behind-the-scenes adviser to various athletes and a longtime acquaintance of James. There were reports that Wesley was trying to broker a deal in which the Bulls would sign James and hire Coach John Calipari away from the University of Kentucky. Other reports had Wesley trying to pair James with New Orleans Hornets point guard Chris Paul. The accuracy of these reports was never clarified.

Shinn is a big fan of David Lee and so is Sarver so I can see this coming. A sign and trade in which David Lee goes to New Orleans and Chris Paul heads to the Knicks to pair with Lebron. This makes sense as it helps balance New Orlean's roster. CP3 makes 15 mil which should leave 23mil. 16 goes to James and there'll be another 10mil in cap space for another free agent or a sign and trade with the 10mil and Eddy's expiring contract for another max free agent. It's the Knicks takeover. Where are you haters.... hahaha.

Give it up dude. There is no way Lee is worth CP3. CP3 is the Hornets franchise player Lee is currently the Knicks franchise player....but that isn't the same thing.

If these guys are smart they'll come to NY or NJ.I know all of the arguments against it but they are flimsy in the final analysis and I will tell you why. First, forget about winning and throw out last season's records since if these guys come to NY/NJ, that part will take care of itself.Second, this is NYC. The biggest media market, the biggest potential for off court revenue generation, the brightest lights, the most prestige, the biggest stage, and the most legendary basketball arena bar none (Knicks/MSG), plus the teams have the cap money to pay. Just in jersey sales alone these guys would make a mint since if you put anyone of their names on the back of a jersey with the words "NEW YORK" on the front, the world will beat a path to the store to buy them. We all know that's true whether or not we want to admit it out loud. Additionally, the Knicks have D'Antoni who despite what many of you who don't play the game may think of him, is well liked and respected by the players, and the Nets have Avery Johnson now who isn't too shabby either. Nobody can offer that, besides NY and NJ (soon to be a NY team also when they move to Brooklyn). The only team that can potentially offer a better coaching scenario is Miami if Riley returns to the sideline. While it is quite possible that it may not happen, if you are underestimating the allure of anything I just mentioned, you are naive at best. There is nothing wrong with Chicago, or Miami. They are great cities no doubt. But they have a way to go before they reach NYC status. If the Knicks (or Nets) don't land big names, we should all be surprised.

Be prepared to be surprised Doc. No Wade, No Lebron in NY/NJ. Maybe Bosh. Selling NYC is a no brainer. I think all these players know that. They've been around awhile, they know all they need to know about the Center of the Universe. But from a pure basketball standpoint, NY/NJ has a tough sell if these guys want to win immediately. I see this Free Agent Palooza being a big bust. Lebron stays, Wade stays, Nowitzki stays and all the other guys don't matter. Now I'm smart enough to not say "Book it" or "mark it down" or "I guarantee.......LOL...I have no sources, it's just my opinion. And if I'm wrong I'll be more than happy to hop on the board and say I was wrong....LOL....After all, most posters here are going to be wrong about something we posted on this whole free agent fiasco...

Sorry ... but most ppl outside of new york ... they cant stand that hole nor can they stand the arrogant NY attitudes. They wear Yankee stuff NOT because of NY ... but because they have won and been in so many World Series. It has NOTHING to do with NY. They want to like a winner.

This is just a dumb comment. Look, I live in Ohio and I like it here. This is where my job is, it's where my family is. My quality of life is good. But I gotta tell ya, I love NYC. Not sure I'd want to live there, but the truth is there is no place like it in the world. It's a great place to visit. so your comment that people can't stand that hole is ridiculous. And don't paint with such a broad brush when you talk about people from a city. I've had nothing but good experiences when I was there. For the most part people were friendly and helpful. Did I run into a few bozo's? Of Course I did, but I irun into them everywhere I go....LOL...Not that NYC needs me to stick up for them, but I got your back New Yawkers...LOL...

Chicago is an awful lot like New York. San Francisco is a lot like New York. Just cleaner and less arrogant.

The most important thing to remember in all this free agency stuff is that Knicks owner Jim Dolan is an utter **** bag.
