08:21 AM ET 07.01 | There is no question Vincent Jackson would fit in the Bears' offense. But for now, the Chargers receiver is not an option. A source familiar with the Bears' thinking told the Tribune on Wednesday the team has no plans to pursue a trade for Jackson at this time. Strings attached to Jackson -- compensation and a new contract -- are factors the Bears do not want to burden themselves with a month before training camp.

Another one of the "strings" that Chicago doesn't want to deal with. As Chitown's Finest mentioned, there are too many people who have a lot riding on this season.
